The usual price schedule and proceedure for starting are given below.

My basic course is six 90-minute sessions for groups or individuals, and it generally follows the sequencing of my commercial audiocourse.  During these sessions, we'll usually work on a few of the troublesome speech vowel and consonant sounds; and, of course, we'll examine the things that are troubling you.  But usually we give the most time to the speech stress and non-stress, timing and pitch contours of American English, and the ways that speech sounds are changed by the sounds that come before and after them. 

But you may not need instruction in all of these aspects; or you may want to consider more than six sessions. 

So here's how we'll proceed:

• You (or the responsible person) will contact me and we will arrange to meet.  This initial assessment will be at no charge.  During that meeting, we'll talk about communication problems and expectations.  I'll tape your speech and make some notes.
•  I'll go over my notes and your speech recording and tell you what I think.  Maybe I'll make a recommendation about the number of sessions to start with.  Maybe I'll tell you that you don't need my help.   
• You and the others involved in the decision can then decide if and when you want to go ahead. 
• I'll forward you the course materials we'll use and submit my invoice to the responsible person.  I'll be happy to take your check, cash, or your secure online credit card payment through PayPal.   Sorry, I'm able to take credit cards online only.  We'll schedule our first session.
•  When you're ready and you've worked with the course materials for our first session, we'll meet and begin.  Each session will be ninety minutes long, and will involve a homework assignment.
• We'll schedule  the next session with time for you to prepare beforehand.  I don't recommend meeting more than once a week, and some people feel better prepared with two or three weeks between meetings. 

 Please Note:  Your circumstances change, and so do mine.  I'm happy to change or postpone a session if you or the responsible person asks it at least the day before our scheduled meeting; otherwise, I regret I will have to charge, as if we had done the work.  If I don't give you the same advance warning, I will be responsible for the class that I missed, plus one additional class.

Two final notes:

 A Guarantee:  I want you to be happy with your results.  If you don't think you've gained the skills for more effective speaking and listening in North American English, I'll refund your money, minus the cost of materials and expenses.

And a Caution:  Reducing one's accent is not easy.  It needs focus and the will to experiment and change.  When you invest your time and money in this work, be ready to invest your attention as well.
